Matters Arising

Pete McNaught reported that Sundays would be a better option for us to hold events as artists are cheaper then.  Also there is nothing else held locally on Sundays.  Pete offered a date in March as available for a contact he had and it was unanimously agreed to provide £X to book the artist and to charge a nominal £X on the door to recoup some costs.  The date was set for March 11th.  It was also agreed that this would probably be a loss leader towards future dates and from this we agreed to book a date in October.  It was also decided that we would explore and book at least one night (Sundays) a month for the duration of next season where possible.

Rob Russell reported that he had been approached by Mick Schultz with regard to the now owned by the OSC Kipax exhibition.  The club wanted it for reasons as yet publicly unknown.  Rob said that he knew the reasons and they were good and valid, but the meeting declared that until such time as the details were known and published we would retain ownership.

Rob gave updates on the open day progression.  It was again re-iterated that although plans were coming along we still needed more volunteers for the day itself.

The chairman explained that the complaint regarding comments made by our tannoy man had made to the club.  The club had already reprimanded the tannoy man regarding this incident and the matter was now deemed closed by all concerned.

Rob mentioned that he had been approached by an author, Phil Whalley, with respect to the Supporters Club possibly funding publication of a new book.  This was initially refused by the meeting until such time as further exploration had been made.

Presentation Evening was again mentioned with a view to setting a date.  It was agreed that John Coleman would be consulted for a preferred date.

Meeting Closed at 7:30pm to be followed by a John Coleman question and answer session.
