Minutes of the meeting held May 14th 2007

Meeting started at 7:15pm

Minutes of April meeting read by the Chairman and approved by the meeting

Treasurer reported a balance of £X in the bank

Membership secretary reported that there were 3 new members from the last meeting and that sponsorship for £X had been secured for the new membership cards. The meeting approved the designs for the badge and new card.

The merchandising committee submitted their report on what products were required and approximate costings were submitted. The meeting approved a figure of around £X would be fine for expenditure on this venture.

The Carnival was discussed and volunteers requested for help with the stall. Thanks particularly go to Pete and Sarah, Lesley and Diane for their efforts on the day on the stall.

The End of Season do was finalised and entry set at £X to include supper. The meeting approved Hazel to supply the supper, Lesley to purchase Lottery tickets for the prize envelopes and Pete to book the DJ. All expenditure to be covered by the incomings.

Rob mentioned that we had been invited to take part in the Hyndburn Mela and Barrowford Show over the summer months

It was decided that there would be no need for the regular meeting to be held every month over the summer and a date of June 25th was set for the next meeting.
