Change of Location. We had problems previously with Weight Watchers over lapping their time with our meeting time, which was delaying our meetings. After discussion with them after the last meeting, this months meeting was held on time, so it was decided to keep things as they are for the time being & review should there be a problem.
Letter to club regarding Christmas functions. Letter approved.
Merchandise Update. Rob felt we needed to buy more merchandise & look into extending our stock, as we were out of stock on certain sizes of T-shirts & have orders for them, he wanted to add sweaters to the range with logo of ‘Stanleys’ at a sum of £X for the purchase of merchandise, which was agreed.
Observer Competitions. Neil received email reply back from the club regarding prizes, Lew has given the prize up to £X worth & will try to get it in the Observer in time for Rochdale Match at home 5th December 07.
Exhibition Update. We have received a sum of £X from Cranberry Coaches as partial sponsorship of the exhibition. Mel gave update on her progress of responses to the exhibition appeal for fans stories, memorabilia & volunteers. She had a few emails with regard to volunteering stories & memorabilia, notably Darren Woodhead has offered his assistance with memorabilia, including video footage of ASFC in unibond league & including his own stories. Mel has invited him as guest to the next steering group meeting & is awaiting his reply. Pete McNaught has also offered his sound/recording equipment, but is also enquiring with his friend about more up-to-date equipment, will be in touch as soon as he has. Mark Turner donated some memorabilia to the exhibition whilst at the meeting & was given to Mel. Mel has also posted on Accyweb forum requesting volunteers & will update at next meeting should there be any enquires or progress also volunteers were asked for during the meeting. It was felt that members needed more information about the training needed for volunteers & what that entails as there was little knowledge about it. Rob to discuss with Lew Carroll about the use of clubhouse for exhibition launch in January 2008, Mark Turner made a good suggestion of possibly the Brentford match at home, January 19th 2008, would be a good time to hold the event.
OSC Drinks Sponsorship. Re-visited topic, as felt this was not fully discussed at the August meeting. This was fully discussed with Mark Turner about the benefits of the drink to players & the need of players drinks to be sponsored, also put forward the idea of having reference to the OSC on the bottles. Motion was passed for the OSC to sponsor players drinks as many members agreed that it would put money back into the club & Rob will write a letter for the players.
Poor Attendance at Meetings. No further suggestions were made therefore no further was discussion needed.
Any Other Business Matt Osborne is updating the OSC website & will have stats for next meeting.
