Minutes of the Meeting Held March 12th

Treasurers report Bill reported a balance of £X with approx £X awaiting debit, balance approx £X.

Membership Secretary reported £X in cheques received with some cash still to follow.

Events Committee reported that the Carl Shay night had made a loss, although this had been anticipated but not to the extent that it had.  It was also reported that the Poker Nights had been disappointing recently with a lot of no shows despite being almost fully booked.  It was still agreed though that we would continue to work towards booking at least one night a month for next season.  It was also agreed that we would hold a season curtain raiser for the night before the first game of next season.

Presentation Evening was agreed to be held on the Sunday night of the Open Day (discuss later), entrance would be £X with a loose pie supper provided by Hazel.  Pete would book a DJ for the event.  Supporter of the Year Award would be voted on by all who wish to take part, this could be done via closed vote at the next meeting and also via Private Message on the Supporters Club website, to be administrated by Karen Fazackerley c/o Sarah.  It was also agreed to ask Malcolm Isherwood, as Life President, to present an award.

The meeting agreed to provide the Open Day Committee with a sum of no more than £X towards bookings in lieu of the grant money that may or may not come in time.

Badge Design for the forthcoming seasons memberships was left to the Chairman to work on with Suppliers.

The idea of the Supporters Club entering into merchandising was unanimously agreed.  There was mention made of ‘branding’ the goods and this was deferred until a later date for people to come forward with ideas.

A page in the programme was discussed.  The chairman mentioned that we already have the promise of space in the programme should we so wish, but he hadn’t had the time, or the events really to push.  It was agreed that Sarah would look at entering something on a more regular basis, and that anybody could write something if they wanted to.

Lesley agreed to computerise the membership database before the start of the new season, she will liase with Rob as regards the books.

Format for the Carnival procession was also discussed.  The Ultras would be looking after the float and the Supporters Club would look after the stall at the field as per previous years.
