Les Cocker Medal Campaign - 1966 Winners Don't Deserve Medals?

In 1966 England won The World Cup with a Squad of 22 Players and 3 Coaches (Sir Alf Ramsey/Les Cocker and Harold Shepherdson). This 'injustice' has been battled on many fronts including input from Politicians at the highest level, yet both The FA and FIFA have refused to award Medals to them, Retrospective Medals will only be awarded on May 28th at Wembley to the 11 Players who didn’t play in the Final.

Les Cocker a former Stanley Player in the 50’s era whom also got his coaching badge paid for by Accrington Stanley back then went on to Leeds & coach winning England team squad of 1966.  We would appreciate any help for an ex Stanley Player to pledge your Support for Les & others to also receive their medals.

Campaign is being headed by the Yorkshire Evening Post & handled locally by Accrington Stanley Supporters Club. Many people, including ASFC players have signed the petition already that have been collected at the ground so far & would welcome any more signatures to the petition if not done so.
